Grab a Mop
Just the FACTS.
I tend to think I'm a know-it-all. I don't necessarily want this title, but sometimes when I'm talking to people, I think that is how I come off. This was on my written 10th step last night, and the night before. I believe I will address that today. I tried to address it yesterday but it became clearer to me that I'm going to have to actually add it to a "to-do" list. So, Number ONE on my TO DO list today is 1. Don't act like a know it all Pammey - Because you don't.
MIA Sponsee called me yesterday. It was his fault, it's fault, their fault. At least I was able to hear that she was alive and sober. She is meeting me at a meeting tonight.
My neighbor lady sits outside a lot in order to keep an eye on her kids, all 5 of them. Last night I had to run to Walgreens to get something and she was there alone. We stood and talked for 20 minutes. I was anxious to get back home, but I could sense that to her, standing in front of the fifty sparkling colors of finger nail polish, in a clean environment with scented powders all around us, with NO Freakin' kids screaming Mommy - was just intoxicating to her. She just wanted to talk grown up stuff and feel free for a few minutes....bless her heart. So we talked and I held different boxes of hair color against her hair and eyes, and we smelled different lotions and talked girl talk.
Well, Theo had a bout with diarrhea during the night....in the entry way...in the dining room...in the office. I'm off to clean that up - Yahoo.
Stayin' in the day in a "mindful of the needs of others" kind of way.

12 OK JUST SAY IT!:
I'm sure Theo is a nice young man-dog, but please don't bring him here if you drop by for girl talk.
Oh Bless you Pammie for taking the time to talk with your neighbor. I remember those days - with three little ones, and how I longed for friendship.
Have a Happy Day pickled rutabaga.
That little conversation in Walgreens was probably the highlight of her day, and the best gift you ever could have given her.
Good luck on the know-it-all crusade. I struggle with that, too. Except, Pam, I really DO know it all. You know?
You know what that time you spent with your neighbor at Wahlgreen's really was, don't you?
Those were moments of grace.
And if the hair color turns out, they were moments of beauty, too.
Girl talk is the bestest talk ever!!!
You know I long for people talk. It's just Mamie and me. And we have our own language. So people talk is nice. I can relate to your neighbor. I also am glad that I know that THEO is your dog. Poor baby, I hope he is ok.
You do know everything.... You do.
Nice of you to talk to your neighbor and share some time. People need to talk to an adult and just have a few minutes to feel good. I think that way about the elderly. How often we pass them by.
poor theo! that shit is just NOT FUN (no pun intended! heehee)..
i find myself talking to this one little girl in my neighborhood lately. at first i don't want to but then i'm always glad i do. i started liking kids at some point in my sobriety and that is NOT ME!
glad your MIA sponsee came around!
cool you took a few minutes to chat with your mother of five neighbour Pamster...
Happy stay'in in your day as a don't know it all ..xo
What color hair color did y'all decide upon?
you are a sensitive soul, aren't you.
